Exhibition Information

The title of this exhibition refers to a term used by Heidegger in Quest for Being: where there exists the possibility of truth revealing itself through our contemplation. Through contemplation of the recent drawings of Darci Mallon (specifically, the pieces in this exhibition; Phosphenes and The Braille Pot), the relationship of the work to philosophy (ontology and phenomenology) and the role that such self-conscious processes play in understanding the work. The notion that critical writing about work exists only to outline the theoretical and cannot address that which is experienced.
